Letters of Administration

Letters of Administration may be granted by the Court to a proper person (usually someone interested in the estate such as a beneficiary) where a person possessed of property dies without a will or without appointing an executor.  The grantee of Letters of Administration becomes clothed with powers and duties similar to those of an executor.  In addition to the oaths by the administrator, he or she enters into a bond with the Court.
